size sensors

The size of an image sensor determines how much light it uses to create an image. Image sensors are made up of light sensitive spots (photosites) that record information about what is seen through the lens. Large image sensors allow photographers to increase the resolution of their cameras without sacrificing the quality of the photo in other respects. Bigger size sensors allow for a more dynamic photo quality, have the ability to isolate the subject, improved low lighting performance, and less noise.

The size of sensor that a camera has ultimately determines how much light it uses to create an image. A bigger sensor can gain more information than a smaller one and produce better images.
