Description
1. What was your first impression when viewing the photo?
I liked the scene of children having fun

2. What does the work look like to you?
It looks like a happy moment in time

3. What is the subject of the photo?
Children blowing bubbles in a concrete urban alley 

4. What textures, colors, and shapes are there?
Walls have flat surfaces but the concrete being dirty provides texture as it's black and white. The foreground has soft rounded shapes of bubbles which provide a contrast 

5. What about line, forms and space?
Straight lines of the edges of buildings create a perspective that opens up space for the children in the foreground while seeing how narrow the space is in the distance

Straight lines of the edges of buildings create a perspective that opens up space for the children in the foreground while seeing how narrow the space is in the distance. We see the children enjoying themselves despite this enclosed space.

There is a contrast of flat walls and straight lines with the soft rounded shapes of bubbles and children.

bittersweet sentiment that children are beautiful but they are sometimes raised in ugly places

no, it didn't, everything is pretty obvious

yes, all children are blowing a perfect bubble

yes, you could maybe imitate it, but never perfectly

no, I don't think so

yes, the soft colours in contrast with the strong lines

  1. Was the photo well planned, in your opinion?
yes, all the kids are blowing a perfect bubble

no, not really

  1. Have you learned anything that you could apply to your own photography?
yes, the use of lines is very strong
