Natalie Test




1. What was your first impression when viewing the photo?
the image is strong the black and white is important for this image because it adds more deminision.
2. What does the work look like to you?
The work looks like a portrait of a couple, that maybe didn't know that they were going to be shot until that day.
3. What is the subject of the photo?
The couple
4. What textures, colors, and shapes are there?
The texture of his suit and the dark contrast of her hat , also the background is very symmetrical and lined perfectly for their shape. Their heads actually make a heart shape .
5. What about line, forms and space?
Both of their heads are turned slightly in making a heart shape. the background is perfect because it is simple and the lines draw closer making the eye want to view the couple. The lines in the back sort of look like a railroad too which is interesting.
Analysis:
  1. What stands out and draws your eye in this photo
The eyes in this photo really stand out to me. They are so powerful and are saying something that words can not convey.The mans eye seems to be more gentle while the women's eye is definitely stronger.
  1. How is the photograph organized in terms of design elements (line, space, etc)
All of the houses in the back and the railroad lines seem to be lining up closer and closer to the couple. the couple are in the center of the image, everything just fits where it should go.
  1. What about contrast, rhythm, balance, proportion?
The photo is in black and white and the contrast is definitely high. The blacks are super dark and the white on the colors pop.  The gray in the photo kind of adds a mysterious feel to the image.

The woman seems to be stronger than the man, the man is more gentle in his appearance while the woman looks mad.

I'm not sure

I am curious, i want to know what they are feeling why there facial expressions are the way they are. Are they in love?

No

No it didn't.

Yes i love the photo its powerful

Yes

No everything in this photo was picked out specifically, the lines, the background the facial expressions. I could not do it better.

Yes and yes 
  1. Was the photo well planned, in your opinion?
Yes it was perfectly planned.
  1. Would you buy it or hang it in your home?
Probably not but i do think it is cool to post on my own blog

Yes layout of an image. how to make a subject pop especially a person in a photo. how to align everything so that it is attractive to the eye.
