Description

1. What was your first impression when viewing the photo?

It is a very strong image.

2. What does the work look like to you?

It looks like no just a report of a death, but also of the population behavior related to this facts.

3. What is the subject of the photo?

The death man with blood on the floor, but also the people on the background.

4. What textures, colors, and shapes are there?

It is a black and white picture, but the subject in the close-up have more limpid black, and the background is more blurred.

5. What about line, forms and space?

There are two evident lines that begin in the two opposite angles and end together almost in the center of the picture.

Analysis:

1. What stands out and draws your eye in this photo

What particularly attracted my attention was the body of the death man that seems to be still alive.

2. How is the photograph organized in terms of design elements (line, space, etc)

The main character is in front row, and all the people occupy the background forming a horizontal line.

3. What about contrast, rhythm, balance, proportion?

The background seems to be over exposed.

Interpretation

1. What is the photo about

It seems that the photographer wants to give a message through this picture by “using” the death men.

2. What is the message of the photographer?

It seems that person are curious at the point of no respecting a death, everybody wants to see and everybody wants to get closer to see better.

3. Does the photo have a purpose?

Not necessarily.

4. What feelings do you get from the photo?

Agitation and maybe also excitement.

5. Does it remind you of something?

It reminds me a little bit of some Italian film about mafia.

Yes, I hink that the photographer was at the perfect place, at the perfect time.

Certainly not

Yes, it is a very clear and well organized picture

It could be

I think that it would be a little bit macabre to have a picture of a death man on a living room, but I think it would be useful for an exposition.

The difference between the close-up clarity and the blurred background
